As so often happens in this strange world of genealogy, just when you think you have it all figured out, you find new information that changed everything.
In my last post, I had the Bodenhamer family moving to Mo and then back to Giles County, Tennessee. After doing more research, it looks like the family stayed in TN until about 1837. Their 16th child, Martin, was born in Green County, MO.
I’m also going to try to find the service records for all of the boys since they all served in the Civil War. Their grandfather, William Bodenhamer, was a veteran of the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812.
So I may be posting more information about the family. Stay tuned!
